There was one useful part of this book - lists about what to bring to a hospital, and what you really need with a newborn - but the rest was so heteronormative that it made me angry. Also, it encourages you to save money on not buying certain items and then to use that money to go and get wasted. Some of the opinions were judgmental and felt old and dated. This book was gifted to me and I was excited to gift it to some of my soon-to-be-mom friends, but it's way too commercial and consumer-crazed for me.
