While the story was inspirational and completely enthralling, I felt it was a bit New Age and focused more on what the writer achieved and can achieve on her own rather than on the spiritual and physical gift she was given in her healing.

The book was put together well and the author did a good job of laying out her story, I just felt the book was more centered on what she acheived than the amazing gift of healing she received.

Four stars for such a fascinating experience...could have used some tighter editing, perhaps. Not sure how her ideas are applicable and a couple seems contradictory, but perhaps I am not understanding her meaning. I would have enjoyed a chapter written by her husband as to his experience living with someone who has gone through this.

Near Death Experience (NDE)! Anita Moorjani got the rare privilege of witnessing/experiencing death. The healing following her Near Death Experience is really miraculous and it perfectly connects some dots which I have about spirituality and god. I’m an ardent follower of spiritual gurus and now I heard the similar thing from a person who is not a spiritual guru. What both the spiritual people and Anita Moorjani presume is almost the same. Everything, the whole universe is within us only. No need to search here and there for happiness, just have a deep dive inside the human mind and we will be able to explore the miracle called life. I believe what Anita witnessed through NDE is nothing but the revelation which guru’s like Buddha, Sadhguru experienced through meditation.

A wonderful message for us all. I think everyone should read this, not so much for her story but what she has to say about how we should be treating ourselves.

Loved the message but was a little bored with the way it was written.

Normally I never want to read about cancer, but currently someone close to me has it real bad, so I lately I've been in a place where it's on my mind, and knowing this ends happily, I picked it up. It is about the author's near-death experience when her body was ravaged with cancer, and how she was given a choice to come back, with the knowledge that her cancer would be gone. There are hospital records of her amazing recovery from a fatal state. The doctors couldn't believe that her tumors disappeared so fast.
It's comforting to read about an after-life experience. I also recommend Heaven is For Real.

I gave it only 2 stars because of the fluidity of the writing, not because I didn't like the message and story.
She had a near-death experience and went on to the other realm. I agree very much with her feelings and noticings of the after-life: Non-judgment, everyone is good, God isn't a "being" but a "state of being". These thoughts resonate with me.
She said she had a complete suspension of all previously held doctrine & dogma. She also says she doesn't feel the need to pray to an external God. And knows she is already One with the Universe. She says to embrace anything that makes you feel alive! Let yourself be you.
Here are some quotes from the book:
"I knew that the only purpose of life wa to be our self, live our truth, and be the love that we are."
"Everything that seemingly happens externally is occurring in in order to trigger something within us, to expand us and take us back to who we truly are."
"When we realize our magnificence and live in our true nature of love, we'll synchronistically attract the right teacher, book, or spiritual philosophy at the right time."

It will be interesting to hear the thoughts of my book club.
