Okay so this review may be unpopular, I love Susan Stoker's work. I love the respect for women ethic and they treat them like glass. I think it's amazing to write so many stories and so many varying series basically about the same thing but be able to make each story different and unique. But I am not a big fan of the 'I am so good looking, I can have hordes of girls if I wanted' attitude that some of her hero's have pre their 'one' although I appreciate there must be a group of women who want a law enforcement/marine for the sake of it.
Dean 'coach' isn't like that he is a dream, but it's Adeline I found annoying.
The research that the author must have done about epilepsy and it's causes treatment was impressive and I liked that even though she had this it wasn't going to stop her living or finding a good guy.
I also get that generally she was a nice person and when she had a turn afterwards she wasn't quite herself but she also had a real chip on her shoulder, maybe there was cause as she had to defend herself due to her episodes frequently but she went off on one a few times with Dean and he is amazing. That's my only complaint. Coco the dog is amazing.

Adeline has had some bad dates, but when her most recent one leaves her alone in a restaurant when she's about to have a seizure, firefighter Dean "Crash" Christopherson comes to the rescue, taking her over to the fire station for privacy and safety. Yes, it's insta-love, but this is particularly well written instalove. The medical facts are handled well, as is the use of her service dog. This is one of my favorite Susan Stoker books, which might have been a five star if the "villain" had been more developed. Adeline's boss isn't just a creepy pervert, he has multiple personalities and one of them really wants to rape her, since she's rejected his advances. Despite that, it's still a wonderful book worth reading.

Another winner and tear jerker from this author. It gave me a massive dose of the feels, good and sad. Heart stopping moments in the final chapters too, made me reader faster...hurry up and get there I'm yelling at my kindle lol
This is part of a series, but stand alone..just a revisit with favourite characters that will make you want to go back and read their stories if you haven't already.
The story line was solid and the characters well developed making for a fantastic read. I think this one is my favourite so far...until the next one.

Update: 8th Feb 2021
When I'm in a bit of a reading rut I often come back to read this one :)

This was such an amazing book to read!

The story of Dean and Adeline is such a sweet and beautiful story. Adeline suffers from epilepsy and has a service dog, Coco who alerts her before she has a seizure. I absolutely adored that there are animals in this series! I love learning more bout what service animals can do to help people and Coco is definitely special!

Adeline was such a strong character and you knew reading the book she was determined to be independent and overcome her disability. Absolutely loved how she stood up for herself!

Dean is a firefighter/ paramedic and finds Adeline in a diner one day after her blind date ditches her after learning about her condition. Dean comes to her rescue and gives her a safe place to have her imminent seizure.

What starts off as a rescue quickly morphs into the makings of a beautiful relationship. I loved how romantic Dean is while he tries to woo Adeline. Their journey is beautiful and I loved hearing about it.

I loved the suspense that was in this book as well! It added to the story beautifully!
