It was well written but you could tell he didn't have a lot of evidence of what happened to them while shipwrecked as it is only 1/4th of the book. There is a lot of set up. In the set up he spends a lot of time talking about another boat and it took me a long time to realize that the Wager is apart of a fleet!
There are also a lot of people and as someone listening it made it hard to follow.
All the moving characters doesn't really get easier either. Towards the middle I thought I had a grasp of whose who but then in the end I had no idea who he was talking about.
Again well written, when I first started I thought it was fiction, more based on a true story.
