Rogue Justice is the second novel by Stacey Abrams to feature Avery Keene, who is a Supreme Court Law Clerk to Justice Howard Wynn, who remains in a coma from the end of the first book, and President Brandon Stokes is out of the Oval Office.

This leaves Avery at somewhat of a loose end so she ends up at a legal conference where her life begins to unravel again, this time investigating the death of Judge Francesca Whitner. Her Law Clerk, Preston Davis, hands Avery a dossier, before he is murdered minutes later. So she digs into it with FBI Agent Robert Lee, best friends Dr Ling and Attorney Noah, and her boyfriend, former Navy Lieutenant Jared Wynn, she finds patterns that leads to a sinister plot to undermine the judicial system and impact the lives of every American and beyond...

I borrowed a copy of this book from Taunton Library and listened to it on cloudLibrary.  I read this for prompt "With a revolver" for the 52 Book Club mini challenge September 2024.
