I really tried to like this book but there were too many things I didn’t like. The guys all act be like she is the most traumatized being but she’s fine. All the guys have terrible pasts but they try to act like her past is just as terrible when nothing actually happened to her. Don’t even get me started on Dimitri, I don’t want to spoil it so I won’t say anything but that was storyline choice was disappointing.

I was intrigued at the beginning and I thought the story was going to be good but then they randomly jump one month and act like two of the characters are in love. The problem is we didn’t get to see anything that happened in the month so it’s hard to feel connected to the characters and their love.

Grammar isn’t a dealbreaker for me but I just wish the storyline would’ve been better. It was hard to connect to any of the characters and I wasn’t rooting for anyone :(

This was so… bad. Between pacing but also just the bad character writing… the grammatical errors… pls keep some books on Wattpad I beg.

I should have taken the reviews on this one for what they are because I’m so fucking disappointed.
There was potential everywhere. Everywhere I tell you but guess what? It still did not give.
1)The Author described our FMC as a brunette in the first few chapters then proceeds to change it to “raven black” without cross referencing.
2) this was too fast passed for comfort. I have hardly blinked and the BITCH was talking about some “I love you” at what time bae? How bae? Where is the fucking chemistry bae?
3) There are a lot of plot holes with the whole “serial killers for bad guys bit” because I sincerely believe everybody and their mother is so dumb it’s almost comical for not realizing that.
4) Don’t even get me started on what happened in the last few chapters? An FMC that 7 guys fucking ADORE is not allowed to be that dumb! That whole thing is too dramatic even for me! Geez!

Honestly I just feel like the author served “mediocre” in the name of reverse harem and I’m not even trying to be mean.

Am I going to pick the next book up though? YES.

Obsession is the first book I’ve read by Cassie Hargrove and this book is Story Brooks debut book.

The world building is insane, the plot has so many twists and turns that I was holding onto the edge of my seat.

Hailee is the FMC and as soon as she moves to town she instantly gets the attention of The Deadly Seven. Lukas aka Pride, Barron aka Gluttony, Corden aka Lust, Mathias aka Sloth, Torren aka Envy, Oliver aka Greed, and my personal favorite Creed aka Wrath.

I was dying to get my hands on this book and I have to say that is was everything I thought it would be and more.

This book is DARK so please make sure you heed all trigger warnings!

I can’t wait for book 2!!!

Bravo Cassie and Story

I feel this book was rushed in order to release it by a deadline. Nobody taking the time needed to proof read and edit it throughly.
The story has great potential and the basic character outlines were interesting, just not developed enough to give me the connection I want to feel with main characters.
I needed more depth.
I still enjoyed the book and will read the rest of the series in the hopes these issues resolve in the upcoming books.

Plot was really stretching it. I get that its fantasy but parts really didn't make sense or fit. Also, the characters are not likable at all and the fmc seems like she has an entire personality change in the book. I really hated that I wasted my time with this book.

I’m giving this a 3 because I finished it in one sitting so it was clearly able to keep my interest.

There were some errors and I think the editor needed to be more thorough with that, also there were definitely some parts of the story/characters that you could cut out and it would literally make 0 difference to the story.

Also there’s definitely loopholes in the story and parts that just wouldn’t ever be fathomable in real life, but it’s not reality so kinda have to be a little forgiving with that?

Does that mean I hated it? No, I didn’t actually hate it, I’d say it was a quick easy read for anyone that likes dark rh, but not necessarily a story I’d rave about and run to recommend & I’ll probably read the next one
