This was lower-angst than I was expecting and I enjoyed that. I liked how Paxton was sort of bowled over by Leah. I was impressed by how he saw this streak of bravery and strength under what she saw as a deep vein of caution and fear. I think Paxton showed his love best by encouraging Leah to push past her recently made comfort zones with the insistence that he would be there to support her and protect her. Leah was able to see Paxton for more than the adrenaline junky that the world sees. They were able to trust each other. Their slides to love were easy, enjoyable to read, and believable.
