I loooved this!! I never related to book character more. Even tho i don’t know what does that say about me. Anxious girlie reading about another anxious girlie. I would love another book about Gilda. It felt a bit rushed at the end compared to the start but i think it was maybe because her meds started working a bit so her mind wasn’t that much overthinking? That’s my explanation. Easy, funny, relatable read, definitely going into my fav book shelf

this book was woah... i am giving it 4.5 stars solely because i feel like i had to put down the book for how overwhelming it was, however i feel like that is the whole point. everyone in this room will someday be dead tells the story of an anxious lesbian atheist woman that ends up working in a catholic church, and as someone who is catholic i do understand the paradigma that surfaces when facing religion and your own self, many people will say they felt lost and overwhelmed but i think the author did an excellent job describing what anxiety day to day thoughts feel like, they're uncoordinated and random, overwhelming and confusing, that's just how it is.

gilda is an absolutely complex character. one that you, for most of the book, see yourself asking why in the holy hell is she doing this, but as it progresses you start to realize not even her realizes why. i don't want to get too spoilerish about the book but i truly do advice going into it with an open mind and understanding about how mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression affect our daily lives

ps: the last few pages were absolutely gut punching and beautifully written, i was in absolute tears

“I came to the realization that every moment exists in perpetuity regardless of whether it’s remembered. What has happened has happened; it occupies that moment in time forever.”

I think I relate to Gilda a little too much. That's scary.
