I think it's a good choice for those who have reading slump and aiming for a cozy small book, it's loveable and inspiring!

This book would have been adorable if I was 17, but as a 36 year old, I found it slow and predictable. The title is misleading, and the “switch” in the book happens without leaving much of an impact on the reader.

No because I thought this was so cute! First Y/A that I have read and really enjoyed for a while. I read this while on holiday in the UK during winter so the Christmas vibes were immaculate.
I thought the story and friendship were beautifully executed, I felt immersed in the book and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Obviously there is childish elements to it as it is a story revolving around teens but I didn’t take the dramatics to seriously so that’s all good.
Would definitely recommend for a cute holiday read!

This was super sweet, I loved the various 'messages' and the family dynamics, as well as the use of the book blog to 'beef up' what was going on in the rest of the plot. I also really loved the Christmas theme and dedication!! I do think it felt a bit thin at times, and the ending felt quite rushed.
