4 stars!!!

This book is about Tegan who was a heroin addict trying to get sober where she meets drug counselor Asher. I've never read a book like this before where we get inside an addicts head to see what they go through. This was very different from A.E. Woodward's normal work which was a nice change of pace. In fact I think it's very different from any other authors' books.

The book alternates every chapter between past and present. The present showing how many days sober Tegan is on her way to recovery. While the past was going further and further back time to see how she became addicted along with her transformation inside and out.

I REALLY enjoyed reading this book!! A.E. Woodward did excellent with writing issues on addiction. This was a very emotional read that I highly recommend. I can't wait to read more from her and see what she comes up with next.

Tegan & Asher will make your heart bleed.
This story is not just about addiction. This is not a story meant to judge or idolize drugs. This is a story about the hidden roots of addiction. This is a story that will make you see beyond the obvious. It's a story meant to break stereotypes. It's a story that will make you feel.
Tegan's tale is not an easy one. Her addiction is deep. Her life has not been easy. You will have to wait and actually see the reason behind her choice to do drugs. You will be quick to judge her but in the end you will love her.
Asher is her counselor and he will end up her anchor. These two characters were simply amazing and real.
The writing is delicious. The plot well developed and the scenes cleverly orchestrated. The book will keep you on your toes. It will make you cry, smile and most importantly, it will make you think.
Excellent work. This is a story I will not forget any time soon.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
