"He gazed over his head and he saw the protective red dome they were under. They were shut out from the real world, trapt in a world where Magick and fantasy ruled. A dangerous realm that shouldn't even have existed in the first place."

Alan Draven's second novel is a fantastic tale of good vs. evil jammed packed, from cover to cover, with plenty of twists, turns, and surprises. The good characters are extremely likable, the kind of people you would want to be friends with in real life and the bad guys are...well just plain evil! As mentioned in the description, Donovan wakes up on a bus fifty years prior, with no idea how he got there or how to get home. Feeling as if he is not making a difference as a history teacher, Donovan wants to feel like he is making a difference, only he has no idea his wish is about to come true in a big way! As more young women go missing, others start to disappear as they start getting a little too close and knowing just a little too much. Pieces start falling into place as Donovan and crew team up with a couple of local cops, who were investigating the missing women themselves.

I really enjoyed this novel, it was decently written, an easy and quick read, I enjoyed the characters and the interaction between them, and it had a different spin on the all time ultimate battle of good vs evil. The ending felt just a tad bit rushed but left off where maybe there is a hint at a sequel?? I also look forward to reading Draven's first novel Bitternest. I highly doubt you will be disappointed with this read and great recommendation for pretty much anyone! I'm excited to see what else Alan Draven puts out there, as I will be reading his books as long as he writes them!

As someone who has always thought since childhood how cool it would be to time travel, it really had me thinking how I would adjust to being transported back 50 years. No cell phones, laptops, cd players, video games, E-READERS! ;)
