Another H.G. Wells masterpiece - this short story begins with our protagonist falling down a cliff-face in an avalanche and becoming trapped in a strange valley where the inhabitants cannot see. What then occurs is an eerie, sometimes unsettling, tale of romance and terror that makes the reader really consider just how different the world is with our sense of sight. Overall, brilliant.

What a wonderful story! ..
It's interesting, and reflects the skill of the writer in painting a social problem which is "difference" in form of a mythical story!
I really loved it

In the Country of the Blind, the One-Eyed Man is King
Is it?
This is a short story of H.G. Wells and a good one to start with his books. A man called Nuñez comes from Bogata discovers a country that belongs to blind people. Nuñez reminds himself of the expression and expects to be the king of this country. But It is easier to break an atom than a prejudice, as Einstein said once. And Nuñez must, first of all, get these people to believe there is such thing as seeing and such people who can see.
