I couldn't wait to read this book. I loved the first one in the series and meeting Cathy in that book just made me excited to read her story.

Princess Catherine is the perfect princess. She does what she's supposed to and she helps everyone she can. She also doesn't date. I mean how can she when she's in the spotlight constantly. It would be a disaster, speculations on the relationship would be over the top. How is anyone supposed to get to know anyone when it's in the worlds view. So she's convinced she's going to be a virgin and have no love life ever. Then Samantha's friend David comes to help with the birds while Samantha and Alex are on their honeymoon. David turns things on over in Cathy's mind. He's gorgeous, nice and he makes her want to chuck it all and have a hot, and sweaty one night stand.

David is an easy going guy. He's there to go to Samantha's wedding and taking care of the birds. He didn't expect to meet and be attracted to the princess. Oh what a meeting it was. David wants her, he doesn't deny that but when he finds out that she's giving away something she can't ever get back he rethinks things and realizes he might be in for more than just a night.

I really enjoyed watching David and Cathy get to know each other. He was ever the gentleman and could ooze out the sex appeal when needed. When things went badly with her assistant he was there for her and took charge when the replacement showed her true colors. I can't imagine being in the spotlight all the time. Having to be "on" all the time. I loved the story I just wish there had been more of it. It seemed to end abruptly. That being said, the story was awesome and the love and flirty relationship was well worth the read. Check it out! I can't wait for the next story!!

I'll be honest in saying that I didn't have the highest of expectations for this book. I considered it to be just a fun, light read. However, since it was the follow-up for the original novel in the series, I must admit to being disappointed that it didn't have the same magic the other story possessed.

In this book, Princess Catherine, or Cathy, got her due. Being in the limelight, it has been hard for her to find someone that she can trust not to take advantage of her. Turns out that the guy that finally gets her motor running and seems to be trustworthy is David Rhodes. David was mentioned a tad in the first novel as the brotherly grad student who had Samantha's back. Now he's in Lilaria filling in for Samantha while she's on her honeymoon. This gives him and Cathy the chance to really get to know each other. It's obvious from the get-go that they have great chemistry, and it doesn't take long for it to be mutually considered that they care for one another as well. When Cathy's assistant/mother-figure goes through some health issues, it provides the perfect chance for David to step up and help Cathy as well as shake Cathy out of her workaholic funk.

There weren't any real surprises with this book. It wasn't a bad story-line, but it didn't keep me on my toes, either. I would've loved to see more of a personality from David. He definitely had a few defining characteristics, but Cathy's attributes just outshined him throughout the story. There also was never really any tests that their relationship went through. There were a few things that were essentially minor bumps but it would've felt more real if they had some more turmoil at some point.

I read this series a long time ago and it pops up in my mind from time to time and I thought why not give it a re-read. Loved it just as much this time as I did then.

Catherine is Alex’s sister, we met her in book one and you can see she has a great head on her shoulders but it is weighted down with so much responsibility. She is almost too afraid to live.

We really get to see her sibling love shine through she will do anything for her brothers and they in kind will protect her.

David is Sam’s friend from America and he has come to Lilaria to help the birds that Sam has been working with. He and Cathy hit it off in a cute way and things start to take shape.
I love that he was such a gentleman, it really was what endeared him to me. Cathy didn’t even know she needed a gentleman until she had one.

The dynamic of this book is a lot different than the first because this really is centered around Cathy and her life. I found it intriguing.

I am on to the next in my reread.

Again loved the narration, the accents I just loved it all.

Eh, I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first one. There wasn't as much plot. The book synopsis really made it sound like David would have more of a problem with Cathy being a princess, but he basically had no problem with it after one minor discussion. I appreciate, like in the last book, that Alex and David are nice guys who don't play emotional games with the girls, but it also doesn't lend itself to a gripping book without any other plot devices to prop it up. There was no tension as to whether Cathy or David would get together; they're pretty much together from the beginning. I just expected a little more oomph.

Sweet book, and while I had the feeling
Spoilerthe new assistant would end up being important for the plot in negative ways
, I didn't enjoy the second book as much as the first. Granted, it's that kind of fun, quick beach read that I was looking for out of the series, anyhow.

This was the perfect start to my 24 in 48 hour readathon. This book was fun, sweet, sexy, and sassy. Catherine is a princess that has done everything right in the eyes of her kingdom. So when she meets David things get a little sticky as she starts to feel things. David is this rugged, American man that pushes Cathy without overwhelming her or using her. I really enjoyed the lightness of this book and look forward to reading the first and third books in the series of standalones.

This specific video review will be included in the July 2018 wrap-up and 24in48 Readathon Vlog.

I loved this story about Cathy and David. Cathy tries to do everything and help everyone and in this story she finally puts her hair down. I loved how she met David, finding myself laughing out loud at times especially with the bachelor's party. I loved reading about them coming together despite the eyes of the media following them everywhere, finding that I struggled to put the book down. The book also allowed us to catch up with some of the characters met in the first book and allowed us to get to know Max a bit. Cannot wait to continue in the series and find out what happens to Max next. Definitely a book I would recommend. Xxx
