This one did nothing for me. I like Shakespeare when the plot is a vehicle for big ideas. This one just has too many characters, none of them interesting, and with nothing memorable to say.

This was actually really good. Slow to start, but once you got into it... WELL DAMN. Caeser was the best character in this; Antony and Cleopatra kind of annoyed me and were basically a royal version of R and J. But the tension between the characters was great and by the end I was racing through it because I enjoyed it so much. One of the best I've read so far.

Not Shakespeare's best. I don't love that this is the version of history most people remember Cleopatra from.

It is my belief that something like 95% of all problems that exist in Shakespeare's plays are results of not having smartphones.
Antony and Cleopatra starts off well but I found myself consulting the dramatis personae frequently somewhere close to halfway through Act 1 through all of Act 3. I liked the overall story but some of the scene changes occurred so frequently that I struggled to process the actions.
The most compelling portion occurs towards the end when Antony believes he's caused her Cleopatra to dispatch herself only to find out she's alive but only moments too late and he's decided to take his own life.
