Fun and quick read. It was atmospheric throughout and I liked the characters, even though I didn't connect directly with them. While the ending did explain things, it also left me wanting more.

So dreamy. So strange. I felt like I was floating through a wine-drunk, sun-dappled haze while reading it. I loved it.

interesting blend of gothic/dark academia with modern dystopia - secret history meets 1984 (although not directly comparable to either) unsettling, gets under your skin, i couldn't stop thinking about it

I had a hard time getting engaged in the plot. It never really grabbed my attention. Kept feeling like there should be some big reveal but there wasn’t really.

I loved this book. It was dark and atmospheric and such an engaging read. I’m not sure why it has so many negative reviews! It was a great dark academia fall read. Would highly recommend

Honestly, I might come back to this at some point but I didn’t have it in me to finish now. This is not a book with a plot - it’s all about the environment, following along the days at this school. It’s a very interesting premise, and I don’t mind that kind of book, but right now I need something that grabs my attention more.

I love these sort of abstract, fever dream stories - especially with a bit of horror. All at once I wanted to be at Catherine House, but I was also terrified of it. An excellent book that I would recommend to those who are okay with ambiguity.

This book was interesting but the ending sucked and made the book feel like a waste of time

I read this for the “dark academia” prompt for my reading challenge and it was not what I expected at all, in a good way. If you’ve seen the show “Devs,” this had a similar vibe. It was haunting and mysterious, with a lurking feeling of dread that got steadily stronger toward the end. I couldn’t stop reading it.

This book is... unsettling. I don't know what it is about this story that is so unsettling. I skipped several chapters because it was boring but I still wanted to know what happened at the end of the story. I'm not surprised a lot of people haven't finished this.
I'm currently listening to the last chapter of the Audiobook. It's....boring and not really that interesting and is leaving me unsettled and I just want this to be over with. Its a boring and not all that much happens in the book.
