Magnificent, flavourful, steeped in atmosphere, the first Middle-Earth RPG to actually feel like it understands Tolkien. Full review: https://refereeingandreflection.wordpress.com/2015/09/15/visions-of-middle-earth/

A great take on Tolkien's world. I think this captures the feel of Middle-earth better than any system before it.

There are a few minor things I don't care for, like social introductions, but most of the rules are elegant and interesting.

It's a little difficult to adventure in the time period of the Lord of the Rings books, and that wasn't helped by the long delay in publishing adventures, but I still hope to get a full campaign in one day.

The One Ring campaign takes place 5 years after the Battle of 5 Armies and allows players to become Hobbits, Elves, Woodman, Beornings, Men of Dale, and Dwarves.

The setting of Wilderland, which is roughly the N section of Middle Earth, uses Mirkwood as the source of its adventures, and takes players in interesting directions with the included Marsh Bell campaign.

Even if you're not interested in running TOR as a game, I would recommend these books as they offer unique glimpses into how you would write and expand stories within the Tolkien universe. I'm incredibly excited to dig in and play through more campaigns in this universe.
