Julie Garwood never misses, but this one in particular is a favorite for me. I found Brenna to be incredibly charming and her interactions with nearly everyone she met were laugh-out-loud funny to me. The overarching plot was predictable but I didn’t mind.
Be warned that there are a few mentions of sexual harassment/assault in this book, but it is not graphic and does not occur between the main couple.

CW: attempted SA very little was depicted on page of the assault itself but its aftermath was quite prevalent and is a fairly major plot point I would say. This occurs after page 200
I really enjoyed this. I loved seeing Jamie and Alec from “the bride” have a part in this it felt nostalgic. It did frustrate me that most of the couples conflict came from miscommunication but other than that I had a really good time reading this. Julie Garwood truly is the queen of highlander romance for me 💕
