This book is an excellent mix of memoir, research, and wisdom. It doesn’t attempt to placate or minimize the pain brought by loss, but rather acknowledges the validity of one’s grief and how to live a full life with it. I lost both of my grandfathers last year in a short span and I’m still grappling with it. This book brought me the most peace I’ve felt about those losses. Definitely worth a read.

Nothing wrong here, it just wasn’t working for me at the moment. Might come back to it later.

This book was so validating and exploratory of my grief journey. I absolutely loved Marisa's perspective on her own grief as well as the vulnerability she showed by giving us all of the emotions she feels. I also appreciated the research that was brought into this book.

Yes. What I was looking for in a grief & loss book. A little geared to specifics of the author but she still "kept" me. Thank you!
