This was an enjoyable read. I love a great crime, mystery thriller, and this was a great addition for my collection. This was a great story. It was about a killer targeting middle-aged couples while they are eating at well-known restaurants. Caleb Rooney is New Orlean’s top homicide detective by day, and chef extraordinaire by night. I liked how he tries to succeed in both food and detective work. He has a lot of charm, and guts. I really liked this introduction story of Caleb Rooney. I can’t wait to read The Chef. Overall, a great read.

Very entertaining and fast read that really captures the essence and feel of New Orleans. This was my first "book shot" from James Patterson and certainly won't be my last.

Not your average Jimmy P book, I really liked the fact I could read it in just one day. His twist and turns are normally quite deep rooted and hidden but I guess he didn't have the pages to do so in this, still a good way to spend a Saturday though

I have no idea what just happened. This book started off so strong for me and then took a nosedive at the end. It’s a super quick read, and pretty entertaining and then all at once It’s just awful

Two double homicides in New Orleans fine dining restaurant, Patsy's, has homicide detective Caleb Rooney hunting a killer hellbent on revenge.
Short, quick and interesting.
