Oh my god this book. I finished this book in 2 days which is a record for me (thank you 6 hour road trip where I didn’t have to drive)
This book is everything. It’s funny but emotional and touch’s on a variety of different more difficult topics like lack of self love from and parent and not finding joy in what you thought you love.
Oooo and the crumbs of the next book was really well placed though out the book.
It’s - .5 stars because even though the spice scenes where important for the plot I did find them a bit too long at times but apart from that this is a perfect hockey romance

I loveeeed this book! Like I seriously could not put it down, I devoured it. One of my new favorite hockey romances!

Rory miller quickly became one of my favorite mmc. He was confident, protective, and patient with Hazel. We see Rory struggling with his leadership role as he tries to find his love of hockey again. Hazel was the strong, independent, afraid-to-be-vulnerable fmc. She deserved every bit of love Rory had to offer and I loved watching her and Rory open up to each other. They both needed to see how loved they were and watching them do that for each other made me melt.

Their chemistry was incredible, the banter had me giggling out loud, and i was immediately invested in their love story. I loved watching how gone he was for her since day one and how he wasn’t afraid to show how much he wanted her.

This was the fake dating trope done incredibly well and when they both admitted it wasn’t fake anymore my heart burst.

I devoured this book and i can’t thank Stephanie Archer and her team enough for sending me an ARC!

This is the best hockey romance I’ve ever read. It ate this shit up with a spoon.

Another BANGER of a book (yes, pun intended hehe!)

After finishing Behind the Net, I IMMEADIATELY jumped into this one because I just couldn't give these characters up yet! ESPECIALLY knowing it was Hazel and Rory's turn and with the tension that was building in the first book, I knew it'd be good.

Ok, so Hazel and Rory now also have a place in my heart because their banter, their chemistry, just their everything was *chefs kiss* so YUMMY! I really loved seeing the character development in Rory from the first book to this one. It was such a fun journey to watch his growth from being the stereotypical hockey d**che to one of the sweetest humans ever and realizing that life is more than hockey, it was beautifully done.
Like the first book, I enjoyed everything from the he fell first, fake-dating trope to everything else in between! And I really can't wait to read Hayden's story and to revisit all these characters again :)

I'd love to write more but I just can't put coherent thoughts together without rambling on and on so all I'll say is GO READ IT!!
