I ate this like if I was starving, and they put a 3 course meal in front of me and said GO! This is the most toxic relationship dynamic I've ever read, and I couldn't get enough of it! Probably says a lot about me, but I know I have issues, lol. I loved the duo POV because it was needed and the writing was so good. Just look up the trigger warnings on this book before you go into it because mannn! You either love this book or you don't. This was purely entertainment for me and so much fun to read. It's messy, full of drama, really rich rich people problems and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

dangerously toxic book, but i also enjoyed it.

super conflicted on my thoughts

-i found some scenes repetitive
-found side characters to have no personality and i still don't remember who was who...
-so so so so so so so toxic
-wasnt really seeing the hype until the end of the book
-now i 100% want to read more
-but so toxic that i dont want to read more!

I really wish I wasn’t in a slump when reading this. This book didn’t put me in it, I was lowkey in one and didn’t realize until it took me weeks to even pick the book up again.
If I had read this out of a slump, I feel like I would’ve been able to get through it waaaay faster. And since it took me forever to get through it, it’s kind of messing with how I want to rate the book. I enjoyed the book but it felt so long only because I was in a slump.
I definitely was invested in the characters, more than I usually am with other books. I was feeling the emotions with magnolia and the ending definitely made me cry 🤦🏽‍♀️
But even with all of that said, I don’t know what star rating to give it. I’ve never had a five star read, so I’m assuming if it was a five star read I would have that feeling so I think I’m going to go with a 4 for now, I might sit on it for a couple days.
But loved it so much 🩶

WOW! As someone who loves anything centering on rich people drama, this book did not disappoint. I can’t even count how many times my jaw hit the floor I was so shocked over what was happening. Every single character needs an absolutely insane amount of therapy. I, on the other hand, need to pour myself another glass of sparkling grape juice so I can dive into the next book of this series.

I love when people spill the tea and highly enjoy reality tv because I get the drama with no real-life involvement. I didn’t turn on the tv the whole time I read this book, because  the Magnolia Parks universe had me hanging on for dear life throughout the entire ~500 pages and subjecting my husband to several rants that started with “You will not BELIEVE what *insert character here* just did!!!” You would have thought I made a whole new, highly toxic friend group with how much I’ve talked about this book so far. 😂
