This was such a cute book! I really enjoyed myself while reading this. I absolutely loved that it was based in Minneapolis as a resident there:)
The characters were all so lovable and I especially loved the brother-sister bond

A contemporary YA rom-com about a journalist whose dream of landing an editor position is put on hold when she's assigned to cover the school’s volleyball team. To make things even more complicated, the team captain happens to be her former best friend—and longtime crush. As Jordan and Mac work to rebuild their friendship, old feelings start to resurface. This book is raw, heartfelt, and incredibly genuine. It felt like a healing experience for my inner queer kid, and I cherished every moment of it

do wish i could've loved this and the lesbian journalist main character more (and thb, she was the best part) but in the end this was just very mid and also the characters made some very infuriating choices that weren't actually redeemed in any way just 'oh oops, sorry about that' but we never really see any growth or any fixing of their issues?? there is just absolutely no exploration of the conflicts within this book.

the side characters were all very bland and all just got one (just one though) personality trait to make them stand out.

just remembered this was also supposed to be enemies to lovers, but i don't think the enemies part was very well executed, it just felt like two people who didn't talk anymore and were just mostly indifferent to each other, but then when they did reconnect they immediately treated each other with respect again.
