As someone who loves all things green, I could not get enough of this book. I wish I taught Ecology or Environmental science because I would make this part of the curriculum.

Maloof always provides an entertaining mix of science and anecdote/memoire, with just a smidgen of activist enthusiasm tossed in. This book is no exception. My main criticism is that it ended rather abruptly. I wasn't aware I was finishing until the next page was the appendix.

This will certainly be a book I read yearly. Maybe a tree or two a month or I don’t know, but I do know I enjoyed it immensely!
