All Together Dead
4 Stars

Sookie accompanies Sophie Ann, the Queen of Louisiana, and her entourage to the Vampire Summit in Illinois. There she must contend not only with the political machinations of the various vampire factions, and the murder of the Arkansas contingent, but also a possible terror attack that may wipe out everyone she knows.

The mystery in this installment is one of the more predictable and could have been resolved more easily if Sookie didn't have the terrible tendency toward forgetting important details that later come back to haunt her. How can someone be so willfully blind?

Sookie's problems with the men in her life continue: Jason makes a commitment that may have disastrous consequences for his sister. Circumstances lead Eric to forge an even tighter bond with Sookie than before, and Quinn's actions force her to rethink their relationship. At least Bill's betrayal has put the kibosh on that romance, and Calvin and Alcide have apparently realized their unsuitability.

Aside from all this, there are some compelling developments. In a surprising heart-to-heart, Pam reveals her past with Eric and it is a doozy! The vampire world is shaken to the core with the unforeseen deaths of several characters and Sookie rethinks her future with the supernaturals in her life.

All in all, an action packed addition to the series, and the twists and turns should make for interesting reading in the future.

How did I go from loving Quinn to being so 'meh' about him. I don't know if it's because you barely ever see him or because I'm back to adoring Eric (it's the unexpected smiles I think) and yes, I'm even starting to really pity Bill, even though I hate myself for it.

The books so crazy you can't even really talk about it, but the one constant with these is that some out of this world shit happens and you wanna slap everyone for being so dumb, and 100% I actually hate Sookie. Nearly every book she's calling someone a slut in some context. And in this one she down and out called many women a slut. Not because they were acting slutty or anything but usually for how they dressed or the fact that a guy was hanging around them. Girl, you allowing Eric to kiss you when you trying to go steady with Quinn, at least those girls are sticking to one person. And if they weren't, whys it your business? She always claims hating to get in people's heads but constantly does it and uses that info as spoken word like there's a conversation going, even with people who don't know she's a telepath. I'm so over her but everything else is fun so blah.

Why has the authorities not put this woman on a watch list?! She's at every vampire disaster, I'm surprised some crazy vamps aren't putting her on trial or claiming she's a fellowship member! I bloody would! If someone brings her to the party it's time to call it a night!

I love how Sookie is coming into her own. It's the strongest we've seen her be so far in this book, and it's awesome. I just wish she loved Eric as much as I do!

This series... I mean its not the best, but I can't stop.
As a fan of the show I flew through this series.
The very definition of a guilty pleasure.
