Somehow the flow between timelines was a bit inconvenient which made the reading experience a bit less good, but otherwise it was an interesting book with dark details and graphic description of violence.

Although not a genre I’d normally try, I was blown away by Girl A. Eerie, haunting and gripping after only a few chapters in, it had me completely charmed and obsessed with reading the next page. Switching between present day plot (only a small focus on the context of the book) and the flashbacks that brought our characters there, it still completely took me by surprise when it came to the end (and had me sat, mouth wide open flicking furiously back across pages for clues). One I’ll remember for a long, long time.
