Such a fun “cozy mystery” for lovers of Midsomer Murders or similar.

Meh. I wasn't as impressed as I expected to be. Maybe I shouldn't have listened to the ebook.

I did enjoy this on the re-read. My only complaint was that it didn’t feature enough scenes of Duncan and Gemma working together. That’s always a highlight of the series and it’s just a shame that component is missing in book one.

I've read later books in this series and it kind of tarnished the character of Kincaid to see him making eyes at every (it felt like) woman that crossed his path.
