Well this was poorly written and extrem bland. I like much of the Lovecraft inspired horror, but apparently not the original.

Eher 3.5.

I finally got around to dive into the Cthulhu mythos and Lovecraft's stories. I had first contact through video games and board games. I find it very difficult to rate these stories because they are not really connected but a bunch of ideas and dreams put to paper. The writing style is so slow and different to what I usually read therefore I found myself repeatedly looking to how much longer the story is instead of just reading. The ideas and themes are suspenseful and some are even scary put compared to more modern horror I found it hard to connect and be really immersed. I will continue with some more short stories because they are in principle interesting and I like to have more context for my board games.
