Finale felt quite fast paced and quite random with the little twist we get at the end. The last 25% of this just felt rushed.
The MCs relationship didn’t feel like the scorching passion I-only-want-you from the start, so their love story felt a bit hollow and uninspiring.

It was a fine, normal paced book until the last 5 chapters went at hyperspeed. Super jarring and confusing and felt hallmark movie-esque where the whole book was just vibes and then all of the questions and problems were "resolved" in the last 20 pages in a less than satisfying way.

My main issue with this book is that it had too many plots. The romance. The men's team coming together to learn to be a team. The ex-boyfriend. The Team USA. The tragic past.
And yet there are scenes that we don't actually see that would have been a lot of fun. Like the hockey game after Christmas. Or
Gigi and Ryder thinking/discussing marriage or kids or any kind of long term plans.

I didn't hate it. Really the only reason I read it so quickly was because I wanted to read some seasonal books. But I feel like it could have benefited from some serious editing and about 150 pages skinnier.
