This book was phenomenal! I simply couldn't put it down! A quick read and a real page turner. I read this start to finish on my busiest day of the week.

5 years ago, on Halloween, Chelsea survived the vicious murders of her college roommates. The case went cold when the only suspect went completely off grid. Now a new investigation starts when Chelsea starts getting messages left on her car.

OH MY GOODNESS!

Seriously, just when I thought Jennifer Jaynes' writing couldn't get any better she writes Disturbed.

I kind of hated Chelsea, she drove me crazy and missed all the big signs. But then I kind of loved her, for being unapologetically herself.

There is so much more to this story than meets the eye, and it easily just bumped up to my number 1 read of the year!

Seriously, as soon as this is live (9/20/17) you must buy it and read it. And then harass Jennifer for a sequel. 😍

The ending saved this book. Once you find out what's going on the rest of the story makes sense and is actually pretty good, but I have to admit it was a struggle to get there. I almost stopped reading it a dozen times because I was frustrated with the characters from the very start, especially the "romance".
If the bulk of the book was more like the ending this would've been a 4 star, but as is I struggle giving it a 2.

I received an ARC ebook from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review..

Wow! I really enjoyed this book. I could not put it down. I thought I knew what the outcome was going to be but I was completely taken by surprise and would not have guessed this! I definitely am recommending this book to my friends..

I liked this fine. It kept my interest. I can't say the "twist(s)" really surprised me. Maybe I've read too many similar stories, but I was almost expecting it. Even with the usual "try to get you to suspect everyone" that was going on ...

I didn't quite get the focus on Lang as the detective, his accident and pain and such ... I guess it goes to show how the original investigation didn't get a full follow-up. But still, I don't know that I really needed to know that much about him personally, his love life, etc. Also, when the POV (third person the whole way, but still shifted to individual's perspectives) switched to Boyd, that gave things away. Again, when we got Elizabeth's view. I know at some point there needs to be a reveal, but it felt like a spoiler within the book.

Speaking of spoilers ...
SpoilerI'm not sure how multiple personalities work, but saying the Chelsea wasn't aware of Elizabeth at some times, yet was "best friends" and having conversations with her at other times?

So - I'm not sorry I read it. I probably will remember the story/twist. It was entertaining enough but not really something I'd rave about or recommend.

This is a great book. I kept wanting to read and it was hard to put down. The ending was the best part for me because I did not see it coming! I very much enjoyed this book and I would read from this author! Great job Jennifer!
