2.5 stars* Meh. Reading zis book was like reading nussing at all. Not enough moral ambiguity. Characters kinda boring. Could have DNF’ed without caring. Would not read anything else in this series if it continues.

what a grand finale to the remnant world!!! compelling from the first page all to the way to the last one. the romance was absolutely top tier, but my fav was the found family in this book, with wren an synove but also with paxton and caemus and the last chapters with all the characters from the remnant trilogy!!! the way i bawled my eyes out and laughed and was locked in even in the fighting scenes, the way i could not put this book down and brought it with me everywhere and tried to sneak in even just a few pages whenever i could, and i thought about it nonstop; this couldn’t possibly be anything but a thrilling 5 stars!!!!!
“if only we could rewind a moment like a card of yarn and weave it into something else”
“lets we repeat history, let the stories be passed”
“i wanted to repeat and remember every word that had ever passed between us, to keep it all alive”
“doing something crazy seemed like the sane thing to do”p314
“a family is not a puzzle with a set number of pieces. it’s more like a well; the fuller, the better”
“he pressed his lips to mine, warm and full and true”
“there is magic in everything, only you must watch for it. it does not come from spells or potions or the sky, nor by special delivery of the gods. it is all around you. you must find the magic that curls in your gut with fierce power and will not let you give up. hear the language that isn’t spoken […] for everyone can hear spoken words, but only a few can hear the heart that beats behind them”p434
