" The most immediately noticeable aspect of the story is that many characters are kemonomimi — cat-like features (in this case, ears and tails) are universal from birth, so there are as many catboys, including the protagonist, as there are catgirls. People in the Loveless universe lose their animal features when they lose their virginity. " ( okay so that's what that was , couldn't figure it out )

I first read this manga in my teens (I think?) and ever since, it pops into my head every few years. I figured it was time for an adult re-read so I can finally have some closure (though the manga is still ongoing and probably will be for a while, so like, closure to an extent.)

My main memories are that it had characters that I grew to love very strongly, and also an intriguing but very convoluted ot that never seemed to get resolved.

That mostly held true for this first volume, though there were also some pacing issues I didn't remember (things just kind of.. happen), and going into it with some prior plot knowledge somehow makes Soubi's complete refusal/inability to explain anything even more frustrating.

Ok so I loved this so much more than I was expecting. It was a totally random purchase based solely off a panic buy as I had a voucher I needed to use so I picked up the first two volumes and thank you past me because this was so great. I love the characters and the mystery behind the plot I am fully absorbed and can’t wait to see how the series develops.

Very interesting. I get the concept, but am still abit confused on what is going on. Going to keep reading to see if things get cleared.

This manga ... I love the art, but the subject matter is really creepy and kinda gross.
