A solid end to the triplet’s trilogy of love stories. These tingle books are all winners.

There’s always a reason someone decides to live alone in the woods.

There’s always a reason someone cannot accept help from others.

Give time and trust (and undeniable attraction) to build a friendship, and the reasons — and healing — will come.

Appreciated how the fact that both main characters were pan was not an “issue” in the story, simply a facet of their identities as they got to know each other better.

Well, I'm not sure where the heck I've been these many years of romance reading and blogging, but I am here now to tell you that I have found Kate Canterbary, and there is no going back. Sure, of course I've heard of Kate, and even read snippets of her various books, but I just had the chance to read her latest, THE BELLE AND THE BEARD, and I am SO in. Like, all the way in, like, 'have to go and read her entire catalog' in, like, 'she is my people' in. In. And I do not hate it at all.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure that Linden's and Jasper's story is the perfect place for me to have begun my Katefest. These two are fire. Combustible, hotter than hot, full on fire. I started reading their story, and barely came up for air, because they were just that magnetic. And when the Santillian family, the zany, full of life folks that helped make Linden everything he is, jumped in to the mix, well, there was absolutely no going back.

i am an unabashed lover of a good love story, but when there's wit, sass, and all of that FIRE, well, I'm a goner. I can't recommend THE BELLE AND THE BEARD, and, I suspect, any of Kate's other books, highly enough. Grab this one, because who doesn't love a lumberbear and a Southern belle? Do yourself a favor and get this one. All the best feels, I guarantee. ❤️

This is the 3rd in the series about the Santillian triplets. It can be read as a stand-alone but is better when read in series order.

I loved all the wonderful tropes employed by Canterbary: enemies to lovers, grumpy hero, heroine finding herself, opposites attract, and there's a bit of a fake relationship and fairy tale retelling (Beauty and the Beast). I liked that Linden and Jasper are a bit older than many couples in Romancelandia, and their chemistry was sizzling. A fun read.

Jasper got more than she bargained for when she claimed her late aunt's cottage in the woods. Her less than perfect meet-cute with bearded neighbor Linden was explosive that turned into witty banter throughout the book. These two stubborn characters met head first on most issues but deep down fell in love with one another for a sweet happily ever after.

DNF at 74%

Wasnt thrilled with the book, but it was ok, until I got to the line-

'Considering DC is not real life and has no connection to the needs and priorities of real people'

Both my parents were native to DC, and I found that throwaway line completely unnecessary, upsetting and incorrect!

I loved getting a chance to be back in the world of the triplets;Ash, Magnolia, and Lind. These siblings are special. I love how different they are. I loved watching the relationship grow with Hacker because she was perfect for him.

I did wish that there had been something more concrete in regards to Hacker and her job. Even though it ended well, I just felt like something was missing. I loved the numerous moments, especially, with Mango!is and Diana.

I highly recommend this author and book. There is a reason she is one of my favorite authors.
