It's great for beginners, the stories are short enough to be entertaining and diverse enough to teach you a wide array of words from various domains. I was surprised to see some complex words pop up and not being explained and the questions testing text comprehension were a bit too simple in my opinion.

Me gustaron las historias. Son creativas y buenas para el nivel de español utilizado en este libro.
Hay muchos errores que podrían fácilmente ser encontrados con un poco de revisión y edición.
Las historias en este libro son muy simples para mi nivel de español, pero ya lo sabía cuando decidí leerlo y todavía pude aprender algunas palabras y practicar mi español de una manera divertida.
Fue una buena lectura, pero nada muy especial.

This collection of stories is intended for Spanish learners who are "high beginner to low-intermediate". As someone who earned an intermediate high ranking in Spanish fluency for reading, writing, and speaking from ACTFL in 2014, I was curious to see how much I would understand considering I haven't used my Spanish daily since 2016. I was pleasantly surprised to find I hadn't lost as much of my Spanish knowledge as I'd feared. Though there were some words I was unfamiliar with, 95% of the time I was able to guess the meaning from the context. I appreciate that each story is separated into three chapters with a summary (in Spanish), vocabulary list (Spanish to English), and multiple-choice questions (in Spanish) in between each chapter to check comprehension. Additionally, each story built upon the vocabulary used in previous stories. All in all, I think these stories are a good way of building your Spanish reading abilities. However, there were a few mistakes in the book. For example, in the last story, La Capsula, it is revealed the girl in the capsule is the daughter of the leader of the lunar people, who are at war with the terran people. Yet, in the summary of that chapter, it states "Finalmente, ella le dice que su padre es emperador Valior" which essentially says she (the girl in the capsule) finally tells them that her father is emperor Valior. This is incorrect because Valior is the emperor of the terran people, not the lunar people.
