I was once again blown away by the world-building of this. Despite being in a whole other world there is still continuity between the worlds and societies from the last book. All of the world-building from the last book just becomes more beautifully complex.

As I looked around, I realized I was the only female in the prison. Not the female empowerment movement I wanted to be a part of. (54)

My biggest wish is that there was some semblance of how these characters are going to get a happy ending.  I wish they had any kind of plan for happiness, through both books to this point they've only had a plan for survival.

I sent a small prayer to the moon goddess and asked her not to slut shame me.
Sun god knew she was already being super rude with the life path she was putting me on.
Low key, she better be more supportive during my ho phase, because right now her attitude was not cute. (343)

My biggest complaint about this book is that while there was a remarkable amount of character development in this book (I love love love these characters now), there was very little development in the character's relationships with each other. Sadies best friendship status with Aran saw some major developments in this book that I liked a lot, but her relationships with the other alphas felt stagnant. The only relationship growth I loved was between Sadie and Xerxes, but Xerxes was barely in the first book so this book was the only opportunity for growth.

The cliffhanger was brutal. Perhaps even more brutal than from the last book. I'm crazy excited for the final book in the series.
