Enjoyable story.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It's obvious this isn't the first book with several of the characters, but it's explained well enough that I didn't feel lost. There were some corny moments, but they weren't super annoying for me. I'm definitely going to be reading the rest of this trilogy and the trilogy Sons of Gulielmus where many of the characters are introduced.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Well, the falling for the kidnapper trope is never good for me.

I still don't get the title.
You know I enjoy a book when slipshod editing didn't effect the rating. I loved the heroine, enjoyed the hero's dumbassery, and I'm a sucker for a cute baby. A little bit of intrigue, meddlesome deities, and a tight knit family were just icing on the cake. This wasn't a perfect book, but it was the perfect book for my mood. Recommend.

Really enjoyable

I really enjoy Trent’s humor and the sassiness of Ellery especially. I’m looking forward to getting to go back to see Gail’s story and Claude’s brothers, but this def works as an intro to the Mortonville/Maria universe. I loved the characters and even though romance is technically very fast paced, it didn’t feel too fast or underdeveloped. Overall a fun escapist read and a series I’m excited to continue!
