Finished reading Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ last night after impulsively starting to read it a few days ago. I think I once read it in middle school as an assignment, and of course I know the story from movies, but this felt like the first time I’d actually, properly read it. And I loved it! It’s a quick read and pretty easy despite its age. The familiarity doesn’t take away from the impact; a few tears, happy and sad, were definitely shed over Tiny Tim and Scrooge’s transformation.

A few years ago, I wanted to make this a yearly Christmas read for myself but didn’t make it happen...maybe this can be the first of many more going forward!

I listened to this book with my fiance and we loved it. It was so funny and I think Tim Curry's voice was perfect. I sense a tradition.

Loved the writing, I mean it’s Charles Dickens after all BUT because I know the story so well it was hard to be captivated and focused. The end though is so hard not to smile and rejoice in his awakening to life.
