Loved reading this book, loved Riley and watching her deal with seeing ghosts, and her family life! It was so great!

This was pretty good! Likable characters, great pacing, the only problem is that I felt the ending was a bit rushed. I'd read more in this series.

It reminded me a little of Tru Calling, though generally rather than with any specificity. Here, there are no gory deaths or huge mysteries - it's appropriate for a YA book, exploring identity, relationships, grief and general life as a teenager.

My biggest bugbear was that the book ended at 80% on the Kindle (that's far too much for "previews" at the end).

I'm not sure I'd search out the rest of the series, but it was a decent free read.

Just what I needed. This book reminds me of the YA written years ago, 2008ish. I just loved it. Diving into this book felt like a comfortable blanket, if that makes sense.

If you loved the Shadow Falls series check this one out. A girl who helps the dead cross over, with a murderer on the loose will she be next?

This was a short and sweet story about the daughter of a mortician who sees the ghosts of the deceased and is often tasked with setting things right before they pass over. Her home life could be better. Her mother died when she was young and her father has lost a couple of jobs which forced them to move. She thinks he has a drinking problem but she doesn't have the proof. Meanwhile she is a bit friendless in town at the beginning but then she starts to get to know a few of the kids from school.

There's plenty of cliche here but I enjoyed this a lot. My only real complaint is that it comes to a rather abrupt stop rather than having a proper ending. Her story continues in follow up books which I may read eventually.
