This was actually very satisfying in the end. Not the best thriller ever and I guessed the killer from halfway through, but it was still very well written, in a very self-conscious sort of way.

oooo ooo 4.5 juicy stars! Listened to this while unpacking the new condo, i was very intrigued!! It took me by surprise that one of the main characters is named Laura and then also that my exact birthday was mentioned as an important date.

This was a mixed one. It was hard not to compare it to The Girl on the Train which is probably unfair but somehow the style didn't really work for me. Was it comfy, cosy murder mystery (in the style of The Appeal / The Thursday Murder Club) or was it meant to be gritty and hard-hitting. It fell between the two and, for me, didn't work all that well. Two stars is probably too harsh but I'm not sure it's a full three.

Pretty good. Breezed through in 2 days. Nice intermingled plot.

This is a good book. Not unlike, though better, than her Girl on a Train. Coy, twisted murder-thriller with the main character a brain-damaged outburster. I did have to write a cheat sheet so I could keep track of the characters.
