October is the time for short horror tales that can easily be finished in one sitting and this fits the bill at 67 pages.

To the one person who called this "House of Leaves but scary" let me tell you something... You were damn right.
God, it's been a while since I had read a good spooky house story and this book DELIVERED just what I wanted.

Horror. Pure horror in every sense.
No Scooby Doo endings where hUmAnS wErE gUiLtY aLl AlOnG. That's no fun. I want paranormal stuff just for the sake of it. If I wanted humans to be the villains I'd just look outside my window.

Top top top experience. Great way to almost get into October. Hopefully I'll stumble into more stuff like this as the spooky season settles down.

Once again cements my belief that Kealan Patrick Burke is one of horror lit’s greatest storytellers.
