I didn't like that I had already seen the show, so I knew where the story was going. It took the mystery out of it for me.

I really liked this book. Entertaining and somewhat depressing while addressing some deep issues. While most of it was quite predictable, the largest question of the book was not and I was still questioning to the end. Recommend.

all i could have ever wanted! all of the drama and mundane bits of suburban life by the sea gave me all the vibes! also the stupid fluffy drama from the tv show (like Madeline cheating on Ed) wasn’t there!!

random side note: author writes drunk thoughts and feelings very well

I absolutely LOVED this book. I got so invested into the characters that I was upset when the book ended. I wished that it had gone on forever. The audiobook read by Caroline Lee was extremely entertaining. She makes the characters come to life in such a fun way.

The topics in this book were very dark, however, I feel that Moriarty wrote them in a very realistic perspective. Especially the domestic abuse aspect. I was taken on such a rollercoaster of emotions with this one. Laughing... and then shocked and heartbroken.

I would re-read this book again 100%. Wow.

This was a good very well written book. Far from the fact that it was the best thing ever (plus I read after "South of the Border, West of the Sun" and that book was one of those life-changing books and when you read those books first one after will always be less impressive than it would be if you read any other time) but it was good written mystery. I did know story since I did saw like 5 episodes of the show which I almost completely hates well I hated Reese Witherspoon & Shailene Woodley parts, and after a book I will decide to give a try to show and from first two episodes I figure about that Reese actually played her character very good while I strongly dislike both Shailene's version of Jane and book Jane same as I did before. It's dynamic, quick and you don't get to be bored. Characters are facing with many life situations and I love how author opens Pandora's books (such as virginity of girl for sale, and all that jazz), I like how easy seems to write. What I did not like was kind of cliché moments like I kind of knew who is Ziggy's father and how Jane got pregnant. But besides that it's fine book, I can't give 5 only because it didn't blow my mind, but I do recommend.

SRB:

Wow! One of my new favorite authors. The book presents some serious issues, but does it in a way that makes you want to keep reading, rooting for all the craziness of the Kindy Mums. I can't wait to read another book by her. And to think I bought it because I though the cover was pretty.

There were enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. I liked the style of writing and how it fed you a few details at a time. I enjoy her writing and story telling.

Oh my goodness, I loved this more than I thought I would. The kindergarten parenting, the mommy politics, the domestic violence, the single motherhood, the betrayal. It all very much spoke to me.
