Bayside Fantasies by Melissa Foster

Tegan is a hardworking free spirit whose uncle left his theatre and always wanted her to live her life happy. Jett has been through disappointment in his life and that has fueled who he has become, a work-obsessed tycoon. A quick trip back home for his friend's wedding is the start of his turnaround. Who would have thought that a brief visual encounter at a gas station would launch a hot and heavy affair?

Foster always manages to get you invested in her characters from the beginning and
you're engrossed to the very end, happy you know the tale, but sad to see it end.
Melissa, you always have me coming back for more!

This was my first read by the author and I really enjoyed it! I added a few of her other books to my TBR list already!

Bayside Fantasies is a contemporary romance that is told from the third-person point of view and can be read as either a stand-alone or as the sixth novel in the Bayside Summers series.

‘Jett Masters has single-handedly built an empire. There's nothing he can't handle. Until sexy, snarky, and disorganized Tegan Fine catches his eye, and proves him wrong.’

Tegan and Jett were everything I love in a couple chemistry, banter, and flirty exchanges! From their first encounter the chemistry was undeniable and they couldn’t stop thinking about each other! This book is way more than a spicy romance novel, the author writes a story of love, loss, forgiveness, and finding yourself.

If you love the strangers to lovers, friends with benefits, and small town tropes then this is the book for you!

This is the 6th book in the Bayside Summers Series by Melissa Foster. I haven't read the one's before this, but will now because I would love to see more of the other characters and read their stories. Tegan Fine is a carefree person who just wants to laugh daily and pay it forward. She just wants to carry on her uncle's legacy and not have any distractions. Jett is a workaholic who lives life with no attachment. He is only focused on work not a relationship. Both lived life without distractions until one sexy night changed everything.

From the beginning there was so much chemistry. I loved how the one-night stand and becoming friends with benefits changed and grew to so much more. Tegan and Jett balance one another and are perfect for each other.

Here is all you need to know:
  • Friends with Benefits situationship
  • Small town, billionaire romance
  • Strong female characters
  • Adorable banter

I loved this book! It explored a blossoming love while also exploring how our past trauma can influence our current life. This was my first read of this omegaverse and the litany of characters was hard to keep up with. However, the stories of the side characters made me hungry to read their stories as well. I can't wait to read more from this author and series.

Thanks to the author agency for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

This book was all the feels, all the tears, all the smiles, all the things. I've read several of Melissa's smaller series (Sugar Lake and Harmony Pointe), and I have super-duper loved them. Her characters are relatable, but their stories just seem to strike a chord in me, and I enjoy the heck out of a Melissa Foster book. What this story has opened up is, WHOA NELLY!, there's a whole Foster universe out there I just discovered for my reading addiction. I am thrilled I have so many new book friends to meet and love.

I digress, let's talk Teagan and Jett. I can't even begin to describe the emotions that still linger after reading their story. No, it's not some bittersweet, tragic tale of past hurts being healed. Well, not what you usually think of in that regard. This more of a story of a Sleeping Prince Charming. Jett has reasons for shutting himself off, and he's kept himself distant, cold, and removed. That is until he meets Teagan. She is the slayer of dragons, chopper down of briar thickets that are surrounding Jett's heart, and the bringer of light to his world. She does this with charm, wit, klutziness, dangerous dance moves, and the value of seeing life as an adventure to be loved. And this story of how she wakes up her Sleeping Prince Charming is everything.

I wasn't expecting to laugh that hard. I wasn't expecting to cry that much. I wasn't expecting to like all the characters. Now I need to go back and read all the stories and wait impatiently for the next in the series.

P.S. I checked; there's a guidebook. My adventure begins.

Tegan and Jett are a match made it heaven! From the first moment they lay eyes on each other through an awful storm, you can feel the sparks flying. First impressions don't allow Tegan to see past a possible one night stand. What she doesn't realize is that he is a believer in pay it forward as much as she is. Tegan is full of laughter, love and making every moment count. Jett is serious and focuses only on his business. After a couple days in each other's company, they plan to be each other's "friend with benefits." When Jett starts putting work to the side in order to spend time with her they realize it's meant to be more. Tegan not only helps his realize that there is more to life than work, she also helps him reconnect with his estranged family. It was difficult to put this one down as I felt all the emotion. Melissa also continues to weave the characters we know and love through their love story.

WOW this book!! I could not put this book down. Just when I think I have a favorite Foster BB she writes another book and I love them more. I loved Jett and Tegan, Tegans capacity for love especially through Jetts workaholic ways as she helps Jett work through this past hurts. <3 <3 <3

Bayside Fantasies is a contemporary romance that is told from the third-person point of view and can be read as either a stand-alone or as the sixth novel in the Bayside Summers series.

Jett is married to his work and has no time for anything other than trying to land the next new big client. A trip back home for a friend's bachelor party has him itching to get out of town until an intriguing woman has him wanting to stay in the area. Tegan is moving from Peaceful Harbor to the Cape to carry on her uncle's legacy and to hopefully expand the business but her mind is having issues staying on track thanks to Jett. After a wild, sexy night and a wicked storm blows through that brings them together everything seems to be perfect for a friends with benefits agreement but after lines begin to blur, Jett and Tegan are left wondering if they are a perfect storm or if their fantasies have come to an end.

ARC received from author for an honest review

It was fun to be back bayside, this time with Tegan and Jett.

It is like catching up with family when I read a Melissa Foster book. I have been reading them for a few years now, and they have become like extended family to me.

However, with all the cross overs with people from different series, I cannot be the only one who needs a chart on the wall to remember who is whom?

Whilst I adore Jett and Tegan, I did feel that, to me, their story dragged. It felt sooo slow to me, and I did find myself skim reading, particularly in the second half. There was a lot of back and forward with trips and things, and their story didn't feel like it was going anywhere for a long time.

But this could just be me.

I haven't read all of the Bayside Summers books, however i did like getting a bit more of the people I have met in previous reads.

I know it sounds like I didn't like this book, but I did. I just wasn't as drawn into it as other books in the series that I have read.

*DNF*

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately I chose to DNF this one, which was a hard decision for me because I have loved every Melissa Foster book I have previously read. And this one wasn't bad, it just was a bit slow for me, and not holding my attention.
