I should know by now that Agatha Christie short stories don't exactly work for me. I like them in theory, but in practice, they are HUGELY hit and miss (I get on much better with the novels - I have several on my TBR that I am excited to read over the Christmas break).

This is sadly a miss. Which is a shame as I liked the idea of this, but it didn't translate. This felt, I hate to say, as if Agatha didn't exactly play fair with the readers. All the clues happened off page as when it was all laid out, I did feel very much "Well, how am I meant to guess that?!"

So yeah, not for me, I'm afraid.

I have to admit this was a night-time read and I may have missed a detail or two since I was falling off to sleep but overall this was a nice read, a quick audiobook. The title and the story in itself is quite interesting and it did have a classic Christie plot twist but for some reason it didn't hit me as much.

Um pequeníssimo conto em que Poirot consegue evitar um crime de forma bastante inteligente. Muito bom.
