For a book with such a  vague, meandering storyline I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I should have. It comes down to the writing, which I absolutely loved. The author managed to add so many little bits of dry humour with descriptions of everyday items/events.

I found some of the humour to be genuinely funny and I enjoyed the way most characters were almost like caricatures of themselves. But there were too many characters who for a long time were without a clear purpose or place in the story. I had difficulty keeping track of everyone throughout most of the book because of the constant switching between characters every few pages. That, added to the vagueness of the overall story itself, confused me rather than amused me, unfortunately.
