Holy Cow! Where are my Mafia romance readers? This duet is for you. It features strong leading characters in Leo and Maria that only get stronger and kick some serious butt in this book. When I talk about butt kicking, I really mean Maria. Leo was already someone to watch out for, but Maria is not to be messed with when it comes to her family.
Remember I asked where my Mafia romance readers were at. Well, this is because this is one steamy read. Those "scenes" had me really hot and bothered in a good way. I might have read them slowly to make them last longer. Readers who loved Leo and Maria in the first book will love this one.

This story had me hooked from the start. Every time I thought I had it figured out, a surprising twist kept me on my toes. I found myself gasping at unexpected turns, and Leo and those Pearls added a delightful spice to the tale. The journey of finding love and happiness and the fear of losing it all hit hard. The characters' emotions were palpable, especially the main character's struggle with perception. I admired the depth of love and dedication portrayed, particularly the emphasis on family. Book one was enjoyable, but this sequel was better, urging me to read it in one sitting. The emotional rollercoaster, intense scenes, and unpredictable finale made it a must-read.

General Thoughts: Like the first one, it’s also hard to give too much of an introduction here without giving too much away, so I won’t. This is a very steamy, dark rival mafia romance that deals with some dark themes. There was a lot going on in this one, maybe even more than the first one. It’s also not the most airtight book plot-wise I have ever read, but this duet is one wild ride that will keep you guessing until you turn the last page. If you like your books steamy and ones that keep you guessing, this one has that. The characters were intriguing and the book was very fast paced.
I liked the MMC better in the fist one than this one. At times, it was hard for me to like him in this one. He's not the most likeable MMC.
Because of how fast-paced it was and how much happened, I thought it was bit loose in the plot at times, but I really enjoyed this wild turn. Settle down and get ready to binge both back to back. Available on KU. I didn't like this one as much as I did the first, but still good.

The emotional roller coaster... so many plot twists and the DRAMA! Perfect ending to a perfect duet. The SPICE was YES! I need more... it was perfect yet I need more... that's how I know it was a good book. The main couple was 100000% made for each other and I wouldn't change a thing about this book (or the first one). GO READ IT!

Finding love, finding happiness and then having to think you lost it all is totally devastating. The twists and turns in this story kept me locked with anticipation, wanting to know what happened, and how the story will ended, even if I already guessed it would be how I wished it to. The emotions of the characters poured in through and I laughed at different interplays. I could clearly feel the disappointment of the MMC towards how the MFC perceived him. I admired his love and devotion and I totally admired how he fought to make her understand and trust him. Family was everything to him, indeed, and though one may thin family is a weak point it was the strong hold that empowered anyone most times to fight for what they want. I totally enjoyed this read & recommend it.

Well, that was a ride to say the least.
Leo and Maria (Mia) story is everything I never knew I needed and more. I absolutely adored both book 1 & 2 and devoured both of them in a matter of days and not so patiently waiting for her to drop another release.
The twists and turns at every corner will have you hanging on to every last word as you try to uncover what might happen next.
However, I can promise you that you will NEVER figure out what will happen next until you are reading it and picking up your jaw off the floor.
Go to amazon, get this book, you won’t regret it.

Wow! I didn't think it could get any better!!! Holy smokes book two came out of left Field and it was so damn good!!!! Wow another 5 starrer ! So many more twists and turns that you get whip lash ,but in a good way. Definitely recommend!!!! You will get sucked in and spit back out!!

I was given an ARC of this book and here is my honest opinion on Amante by Evenlyn Montgomery.
I gave this book 3.8 stars. I did like this book better than the first one of this series (Amico). I feel this plot was a lot better this time around than in the first book. The amount of twist and turns in this was phenomenal. The spicy scenes in this book were so much better as well. There were more spicy scene in this one compared to the first book and quite frankly that is what we are here for so I am loving the scenes in this one. I never thought I would care for a Mafia Boss/ Dom book but I am definitely here for this one! I would recommend this book to someone, however, they would have to read Amico to fully understand the relationship between Leonardo and Maria and just how far they have come to make this relationship work.
