While totally unbelievable and completely insane, this book was awesome!

I started reading it late one night to help me get to sleep and couldn't put it down for another 3 hours! And I had just gotten off a plane with barely any sleep! It's that good!

Matthew Reilly sets such a fast pace that makes it impossible to stop reading as one crazy expedition leads to another.

Saving the world has never been such an enjoyable read!

Loved this book and I'm keen to read the others!

Why did I wait this long to stay reading these books?!

Sometimes seemed silly, but properly entertained indian Jones like adventure. I loved the character of Lily!

Lots of fun. Non-stop and very much an historical fiction - reminds me of Indiana Jones! I’m biased, but I love the fact that Reilly puts the US on the back foot and Australia reigns supreme! The way it should be!

This was completely different from what I'm used to reading but it was refreshing. It is very fast paced and full of adventure. I love Jack west and can't wait to be apart of his other adventures. He really is like an Aussie Indiana Jones.

This book was a lot of fun! A lot more fun than I was expecting. I found myself frantically turning the pages, and totally unable to skip even a single word. I found the cut-throat race & the underdog aspect of the race to be pretty tedious at times, but it was still a really fun read. I'm not entirely sure where I found this read, but I'm glad I did - and I'll be reading the rest of the series as well.

I recommend this book to fans of the Da Vinci Code (though this is way better), Steven Berry, or more generally action books that are rooted in history.

This book was just plain awesome! It was exciting and nerve-racking and very imaginative. The way the hanging gardens of Babylon were portrayed was quite possible one of the most amazing interpretations of that long lost wonder. I loved this!

Loved this action filled book. Incredibly hard to put down. I couldn't wait to pick up the next book.

Don't really know why I finished it. Stereotypical and cringeworthy characters. Boring action sequences as the traps that have been built up to be so difficult and killed so many are passed with ease. The plot and the idea behind it is really cool and well thought out, but the characters and action absolutely killed it, I felt ill.
