The storytelling was awesome, Adeyemi is gifted for sure.It could use a bit more here and there, less cliches, but the way I see it is the author was introducing us into Zelie’s world, hopefully her next book delves deeper. The romance, the setting, I loved it all. I’m looking forward to reading the sequel.

What an incredible tale of the power we all possess to fight back and to eradicate evil in the world. While taking place in a mystical world, the lesson here is that when rise together, we can do it all no matter how daunting the task.
