Stephen King does it again. The Talisman was one of the books where I was immediately pulled into the story and the characters were just amazing. Amazingly-written, anyway. Morgan and Osmond and Gardener were awful people in general, as villains are. I was entertained throughout the entire book and read it every free chance I got.

This tome had a great start. The first half of the book was adventurous, original and fun. The characters were were fascinating and the two worlds were teeming with drama. Then part three began and it all went south. Part three was too long and lacked originality, I was genuinely bored reading it. The ending was interesting but again was too long and detailed, there were so many different aspects coming together at the end that it was difficult to keep up with and follow the plot. It is a shame the second half was so tiresome, but alas it did ruin the story for me and I was glad to be finished.
