This book is equally as strong as the first installment in the series. Emma is literally the sweetest character and I'm still laughing at her conversation with Mackensie about the "Ex's Rule" at the book's outset. If you've read it, you'll know the one... Emma apologizes to Mac for mooning over Jack, who Emma believes is Mac's ex, only to learn that Mac & Jack never dated. And the ribbing Mac gives her... 😂 I also loved the soccer scene and the way the commitment conflict is handled at the end. A solid story all around -- though I can't say that Jack is a new favorite character. He's a typical alpha guy with fear of commitment... and no where near as lovely and charming as Carter ❤️.

He disfrutado el libro?

To be honest, I just wanted this book to end, which probably was the reason for my fast reading. I didn't connect at all with the main characters, even though I already knew a bit of them from the previous book. The female one was the main problem for me, plus the weak plot. The first book (with Mac and Carter) was natural and cute, even funny and romantic, but this one was just so boring. The fact that I'm not a fan of this kind of book may have something to do with my bad review, though.
SpoilerThere was no chemistry and just no connection at all between Jake and Emma. Besides, the way Emma was described (and her actions/reactions) made her look like a teenager, and not a 30-year-old woman.
Also, there were some very unrealistic and uncomfortable scenes throughout the book. Well, hopefully, the next one will be better.

Eh. So many reviewers have said the same thing, so I won't bother repeating myself too much but I liked some parts of this book & hated others. The female characters (especially Emma) are *so* incredibly annoying because they are all so magically perfect. I got so tired of hearing about how they just kept pulling off amazing, spectacular, customized weddings, like multiple times a week. & Please don't even get me started on the big fight that Emma and Jack have. It was the worst. He'd had a bad day, he was super reasonable & tried to explain that it wasn't a good time to talk & she just like freaked out because he put his spare key in his pocket & she felt like she deserved a key to his apartment....after three months of dating?!!!?!? I had to reread it because I didn't understand why she was freaking out. She had also never even said to him that she wanted a key. I read a romance book (not from Nora Roberts) earlier this year that I really liked & so I thought I'd try & give the genre more of a chance but omg this was so annoying. I want characters with problems please.
I like it when the friends had like girls nights & watched movies though. Also, I did think the dancing in the moonlight bit was cute.
