Okay. So before I start, I've never done a book review before!
So here it goes.
I knew NOTHING about this book before I got a copy. But when I heard a local girl had written a book in one of my preferred genres I had to get my hands on it!
It was delivered to my work 2 days ago. I quickly took a look at the first few pages and fell in love as soon as I read the dedication page.
I really did enjoy the book, although the editing did rub me the wrong way at times. "He" instead of "be" words with "." In the middle and a random section in bold when it clearly was not meant to be. Not blaming the author! but something to consider if your a "grammar nazi" (which clearly, I am not).
Sometimes I felt as if the relationships seemed a bit childish for the ages portrayed, but then I remember I'm getting old and this book was written by someone in the age range that actually went to university and I realize my way of thinking is probably misconstrued a bit!
I also think that while this book doesn't go to deep and heavy into the mental and sexual issues, it could possibly be a trigger for some.
This was a quick read for me, which means I really enjoyed it. I refuse to DNF a book, but if I don't like it it usually takes me a year to finish! I also read the excerpt for chelseas next book and I am interested in getting my hands on a copy of that one as well!
