I disagreed with a few points made, but overall this book really threw my mind into overdrive. I wish for every man and woman to read this book, and look at the topic of abortion objectively instead of subjectively. Was a well written web of his personal work as an OBGYN, with his passion for public health and allowing women to have choice. Beautiful written, and even if you don’t agree with anything said, it’s a valuable read that may shift your mindset.

I keep telling people that if I had read this book when I was younger, maybe even in high school, I would have been on a different track. This book was so compassionate and thoughtful, and it helped me feel like I wasn't so alone in wanting to believe in Christianity but also believing in reproductive rights.

I really appreciated this memoir and the life stories shared. It was very educational and eye-opening. There were a lot of the moral arguments that I had heard and agreed with prior to reading this, but there were others I had not heard. Everyone needs to read a book like this to better understand some of the deeper issues with abortion and abortion laws.

Wow! Although I’ve always been pro choice, I learned a lot about the history, politics, and ethics of abortion from this book. Dr. Parker’s life story is fascinating and inspiring, but I appreciated that he kept the focus of the book on women even when writing about his own life. I am so grateful to reproductive justice activists and providers after reading this.

Dr. Parker discuss how he came to the conclusion that abortion is healthcare.
